How did you do the uninstall? Did you use the “Fix it” script? Uninstall from control panel leaves some files and registry entries to keep the configuration.

Yes No. Sorry this didn’t help. When I did the online repair per the instructions, it said that it was working step 1 of 4 but then never proceeded to steps 2 and 3. Instead, it just removed the MS Office software and left me to reinstall it which I did. After the reinstall, the problem still persists.
